Winter Construction completely gutted and renovated an existing assisted living facility, converting it to a memory care facility. The exterior work included roofing, new glazing and exterior doors, courtyard with infinity walking path, fencing, landscaping, and painting. Interior work included extensive mold remediation, performed by our environmental business unit Winter Environmental, constructing new walls, millwork, lighting, ceiling, and building and installing custom memory boxes. Winter also completed full room renovations, including the dining area and all of the bedrooms.

Winter Construction completed the multi-phased renovation to this 100,000 square-foot occupied assisted living facility. The team took great care and planned strategically to minimize disturbances to the residents and staff, especially as the work pertained to the memory care wing of the facility.

Winter completed four projects for Sunrise of Huntcliff in three different buildings: the phased renovation of the independent living facility, the phased renovation of the assisted living facility, and the renovation of the Alzheimer’s care building.

Winter performed a complete renovation of the occupied 380,000 square-foot independent living area of Sunrise of Huntcliff. Winter renovated 100,000 square feet in the assisted living area, including lighting, granite, cabinetry, and upgrades to the public corridors, grand foyer, and common spaces. Winter’s extensive work in the memory care unit included flooring, lighting, paint, wall-covering, millwork, electrical work, and mechanical work.
